Porcelain veneers typically take two office visits to complete. One visit is to make an impression of the teeth so that a dental lab can custom make the veneers. The veneers are applied during the second visit. These veneers are strong, durable, feel natural, and less likely to stain. If a porcelain veneer comes loose or breaks, it cannot be repaired, and a new cap will need to be made. The patient will have temporary veneers to wear while the permanent ones are being made.
